Gündogan emerges as Barcelona’s most likely midfield target - USA NEWS LEAKED

Image
Photo by Manchester City FC/Manchester City FC via Getty Images The Man City man is available on a free in the summer Barcelona’s targets this summer will be various players, including a couple from Manchester City. The easiest target at City might end up being Ilkay Gündogan, according to Sport. The German midfielder is out of contract this summer and a move would theoretically be simple. Xavi needs midfield stability, and right now as we’ve seen, if Pedri and Gavi have injuries or suspensions, things get brittle quickly. Gündogan would be a fabulous veteran presence to fortify and stabilize the midfield, particularly if Sergio Busquets departs when his contract expires. The bottom line is Xavi would probably prefer another City midfielder in Bernardo Silva, but contractually he’s a more difficult (and expensive) signing and unlikely to arrive. Gündogan should be a simple putt for Barcelona if they’re serious about it, and he would be a must-have sort of player heading into Eu...

Barcelona make renewal offer for Sergio Busquets with lowered salary - report - USA NEWS LEAKED

Image
Photo by Alex Caparros/Getty Images It’s now up to the captain to decide FC Barcelona has presented their captain, Sergio Busquets, with a formal offer to renew his contract, and it represents a reduction in his salary, according to a new report. The midfielder is out of contract at the end of the season and has received proposals from several clubs. One that has been linked heavily with him is MLS’s Inter Miami, who would pay more than the Catalans are ready to offer. It’s said Barcelona will offer Busquets 7 million euro net each year. They can’t match offers higher than that due to the club’s financial issues and issues with La Liga’s salary cap rules. The club has decided to renew the captain’s contract due to the coach. Xavi has been said to be strongly in favor of keeping Busquets in the team for at least one season. Busquets was man of the match in Barcelona’s last match, a 1-0 win over Valencia. He assisted the only goal of the game with a lovely lobbed pass, which wa...

Roberto Firmino interested in joining Barcelona - report - USA NEWS LEAKED

Image
Photo by Michael Regan/Getty Images He’s leaving Liverpool Roberto Firmino is leaving Liverpool after a storied journey with the reds. The 31-year-old Brazilian attacker will be available on a free transfer, and several teams will be interested. Liverpool boss Jürgen Klopp has said he was surprised by Firmino’s decision to leave but that he was sure the forward would give his all for his remaining time at Anfield. The latest gossip says that Firmino is considering joining several clubs, and one of them is FC Barcelona . It’s not the only club he’s interested in joining, but it is one of the ones he’s offered his services to. After the sales of Memphis Depay and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Barcelona are without a backup striker to spell Robert Lewandowski. The team struggled to score goals when the Polish star has been suspended or injured. Firmino could provide that necessary depth next season. And Barcelona, due to their financial difficulties, are always keen on free transfe...

Barcelona keen on a Cancelo loan - report - USA NEWS LEAKED

Image
Photo by Richard Sellers/Getty Images The full-back may be available this summer Sometimes things are written in the stars, and right now, a Barcelona move for Joao Cancelo should be. As Emile and I discussed in yesterday’s Blaugranes pod , Joao Cancelo would be a dream summer transfer for Barcelona. As it turns out, Barca reportedly thinks so as well. The right-back’s loan move to Bayern Munich hasn’t gone as planned so far and his time will undoubtedly end with a return to Manchester City in the summer. Unless Pep and Cancelo are able to come to a solution, which would require Guardiola certainly promising Cancelo starting minutes, which he doesn’t appear keen to do. That could lead Cancelo to push for another transfer in the summer window, and Barca would be the perfect destination for another loan deal. A permanent move is another problem for another day, but for next season at least, a loan would be a dream. from Barca Blaugranes - All Posts

Image
Photo by Alex Caparros/Getty Images The Brazilian is hungry for more goals and assists Raphinha has revealed the targets he has set himself since arriving at Barcelona in the summer transfer window from Premier League side Leeds United. The Brazilian is improving after a slow start to life at Barcelona and has eight goals and nine assists in the current campaign. He’s on target to reach double figures for both goals and assists which was his aim at the start of the season. “I’m never satisfied. At the beginning of the season I put the numbers I want to reach on a piece of paper,” he said. “When I arrive at a new team, I set myself the goal of scoring 10 goals and providing 10 assists. And if I get there I increase 5 goals and 5 more assists. “Now I’m getting close, but with 8 goals and 9 assists I’m still not satisfied. I like to do more and more and more.” Source | Tot Costa Raphinha grabbed the winner last time out against Valencia and will be expected to continue in th...

Dembele won’t return until after the international break - reports - USA NEWS LEAKED

Image
Photo by Alex Caparros/Getty Images The Frenchman WILL miss El Clasico Ousmane Dembele is not expected to make his return from injury until after the international break, meaning he will miss the league Clasico at the Camp Nou. ESPN report that Barcelona have decided Dembele will sit out the crunch game against Los Blancos as the club refuse to take any risks with the forward. Dembele is “progressing well” but Barcelona are going to play it super safe as they really don’t want the Frenchman to suffer a recurrence of his latest injury. Domestic competition will pause after Barcelona’s visit from Real Madrid, for an international break, with the Catalans back in action on April 1 at struggling Elche. Barcelona then play Real Madrid yet again, in the second leg of their Copa del Rey tie, and it looks like Dembele will be available for the match. Xavi’s side lead 1-0 from the first leg at the Bernabeu and will progress to a final against either Osasuna or Athletic if they finish...

Lewy: The way Barça played 10 years ago might not work any more - USA NEWS LEAKED

Image
Photo by Alex Caparros/Getty Images The striker says the team must adapt Barcelona striker Robert Lewandowski has been talking about the club’s style and says the club must be willing to move with the times. The Poland international says he’s well aware of the infamous “Barcelona DNA” but made it clear he feels the club must also find other ways to play at times. “I know that the Barça DNA says that we need to play nice football,” he said. “But we also need to appreciate that football has changed. For example, the way Barça played ten years ago might not work any more. We have to adapt to football and demonstrate the best that we have.” Xavi has the team on target to win the double this season, and Lewandowski spoke about the chances of picking up silverware at the end of the campaign. “We have to believe that everything is possible, but it’s still early to think about the two titles. In the League we’re in a good position, but we still have a lot of games to go and we hav...

Barca keeping tabs on Fabricio Díaz - report - USA NEWS LEAKED

Image
Photo by Sandro Pereyra/Agencia Gamba/Getty Images The 20-year-old would cost 6 million euros Barcelona’s search for low-cost transfer options this summer has reportedly taken them to Uruguay and a certain Liverpool midfielder Fabricio Díaz. Diario Sport reckon the Catalans have been keeping tabs on the 20-year-old for some time and their interest has spiked after some impressive showings in the recent Under-20 Championship. Diaz was one of the players of the tournament, scoring five goals and notching two assists in eight games as Uruguay finished runners-up to Brazil. Barcelona have been told it will cost just 6 million euros to land Diaz which seems another reason why the club are interested. The report claims Barcelona have been searching South America for a new midfielder and have already checked out Danilo, Andrey Santos and Joao Gomes. Diaz is a far more affordable option and Barca seem to be thinking he can follow in compatriot Ronald Araujo’s footsteps at the Camp No...

Florian Wirtz to Barcelona rumors are back again - USA NEWS LEAKED

Image
Photo by Marcio Machado/Eurasia Sport Images/Getty Images Heard this one before? Bayern Leverkusen midfielder Florian Wirtz has long made it clear he’d love to play for Barcelona and those rumors seem to be back again. Xavi’s side have reportedly spoken to his father and are pretty keen on signing the teenager, according to Diario Sport. It’s not quite as easy as all that though. Wirtz is contracted to Leverkusen until 2027 and is valued at around 70 million euros - way out of Barca’s reach. The report says that Barcelona “have asked him for patience” but it’s difficult to see the club making expensive signings this summer, unless some big names are to leave. Wirtz told Sport Bild back in 2021 that he had dreamed of playing for Barcelona as a child. “When I was a kid I always wanted to play for Barcelona. Nothing has changed, but until then I still have some time,” he said. The teenager signed a new contract at Leverkusen last summer. He missed the start of the season after ...

It’s been a tough couple of months, but the time has come and I’m thrilled,” he said. “I’ve been training with the group since last week and I’m happy with how close I’m getting to match fitness. I don’t have any discomfort. Last Thursday was eight weeks after the operation. We have brought forward my return a few weeks and everything went very well. The midfielder also spoke out about how his time on the sidelines has helped him....

Xavi wants to win La Liga before talking Barcelona renewal - USA NEWS LEAKED

Image
Photo by Angel Martinez/Getty Images The coach has only one thing on his mind Xavi Hernandez has made it clear that he’s focused on winning titles for Barcelona right now rather than thinking about his own future at the club. President Joan Laporta revealed yesterday that he’s been thinking about a new contract for the Barcelona coach and wants to secure his future. Those words were then put to Xavi who made it clear he has other things on his mind right now. “The president’s words took me by surprise, the president is a friend. Barça is lucky to have a president like him. He is very reliable and he goes for it,” he said. “For me, he is a friend, but first the results and then the renewal. This is not about money or years of contract, but about the fact that I want the club to do well. The day I feel that I am not convincing the players, I will go home.” Xavi signed a contract that runs until 2024 when he replaced Ronald Koeman as first-team coach in November 2021. The coa...

Ronald Araujo’s one-match ban confirmed - USA NEWS LEAKED

Image
Photo by JOSEP LAGO/AFP via Getty Images The center-back will be available for El Clasico Barcelona defender Ronald Araujo’s one-match ban for his red card against Valencia at the weekend has now been confirmed. The Uruguayan was sent off for a last-man foul in the 1-0 win and there were fears initially he could miss two games and sit out El Clasico. However, the RFEF’s Competition Committee has now confirmed Araujo will only be banned for one game, ruling him out of Sunday’s trip to Athletic. The news will be a relief to the Catalans as Araujo is one of the first names on the Xavi’s teamsheet and has been superb against Real Madrid in recent meetings. Barcelona now face two big games for the international break and victory in both will bring the title into view for Xavi’s side. Up first is a trip to Athletic on Sunday at San Mames. Ernesto Valverde’s side are ninth in the table but have gone three games without a win. Barcelona then host Real Madrid at the Camp Nou and will...

Barca trio are playing for their Camp Nou futures now - USA NEWS LEAKED

Image
Photo by Silvestre Szpylma/Quality Sport Images/Getty Images Laporta wants another striker After Joan Laporta’s latest interview, there can be no doubt that three Barcelona players will be playing for their futures at the club over the next few months. At a lunch with Mundo Deportivo’s Santi Nolla, the Barca president admitted that the club will want to bring in another striker this summer. Six into three won’t go, and there’s no way that either Robert Lewandowski or Ousmane Dembele will be departing the club, so that leaves a trio of attackers needing to get their heads down and work. If they weren’t under enough pressure already, Ferran Torres, Ansu Fati and Raphinha would now appear to be in a shoot-out to retain their places. One will be the fall guy and, frankly, they’ll only have themselves to blame. None have really set the world alight this season, but at least one can see some sort of progression as far as Raphinha is concerned. Photo by Helios de la Rubia/Getty I...

Abde has enjoyed regular football at Osasuna and has impressed with his goals in the Copa del Rey which have his side on the brink of the final. Nico has had a tougher time at Valencia.
